Julia Warren

Julia Warren grew up riding Saddlebreds in Texas with her mother and sister in Texas. She now lives in Washington, DC and works for the Corporation for National and Community Service.

"Although I had some ups and down in my riding career as I was growing up, I always stuck with it because it truly felt like a part of me. I got the opportunity to show at Louisville for the first time when I was 17 with my horse Barry White, and again when I was 18 with a new horse MMMBop under the direction Janet Crampton. It was one of the best experiences of my life.

Since my days as a Jr. Exhibitor, I haven't had the opportunity to ride consistently or get in the show ring as much as I would have liked. I always missed riding and knew that I would find a way to make it a part of my life again. My sister, Jessica, introduced me to the Garones and the crew at Fairfield South when she was riding with them in March of 2009. I took a couple lessons, and immediately felt at home.

Riding at Fairfield south has been a fantastic experience for me and is truly helping me become a strong adult rider. The "tough" love from Marsha reminds me to never stop pushing myself to be better and the thoughtful coaching from Gary makes me focus on every move I make while in the saddle. Devon, Kyle and the rest of the family at Fairfield truly make it my home away from home.

I purchased my horse, Captain Roseridge with the help of Garones this summer and feel like I found the perfect horse to relaunch my show career with and I am looking forward to my first season as an amateur. Look out for Captain and I in the 5-gaited division under the fantastic direction of the Fairfield South team!"
